My friend, Eric Baker, from “Hell’s Kitchen” presented me with an awesome opportunity. I had the pleasure of shooting a scene from George Watsky’s (pale kid raps fast) new music vid for the song “Danger” off his latest album THE MIXTAPE. I shot the hot tub full of marshmellow scene. Really fun shoot and he is a super cool cat (and super talented). Bunch of my friends worked on it so check the credits at the end of the vid. Peace ya’ll. Happy Friday!

The Silent Girl
This is one of the most recent commercial I worked on with my friends at The Other House.

Still having fun with that GoPro. Can’t get enough. Here is a time lapse from my good friend Chris’ Birthday!
My 2011 Reel…
As of today. It will likely change a couple times this year (hopefully soon). Nevertheless, there is some neat, recent stuff that I’ve shot. It’s got it all time lapses, commercials, music video, tv pilots, and some stuff just for fun. Enjoy!
Thanks y’all

RC Car Jumps Over My Garage!
On January 9th, 2011 my friends and I set up our cameras to watch Mark jump his RC car over my garage. Let’s meet our driver (pictured below).
Mark used his Traxxas Mini E-revo, if you speak RC. Our friend Mo was jumping his RC car as well. We had a total of 5 cameras filming a series of attempts to launch his car over my garage. Steve brought his 5D mkII, and his HVX. Paul used his T2i and I had my 7D. Mark had a GoPro Hero HD which was attached to the car for the last few runs (and attached to Jasson’s beer).
Mark says: MO and I had been planning on doing another roof jump after our first attempt a few years ago. Now with our new vxl brushless motors we knew that we could make the jump After some quick re-adjustments to the ramp and some driving changed we were able to launch the trucks well over the garage. Traxxas really put out a great truck, even through all the bashing and crashing of the truck neither mo or myself broke any parts on the truck. The jump was more than successful. Thank you Alex for allowing us to use your garage for this epic jump.
-Mark
PS. We are looking for our next big jump location, if you have any ideas of what or will please send Alex a message we would love to hear your ideas!
At first, we had just the ramp set up and as you can see in the video, the car was hitting the ramp and just not getting enough air to clear the roof. After a quick modification to the ramp (adding a table and a skim board) The car EASILY cleared the ramp.
Here is a REALLY rough layout of where things/people/cameras were set.

Thanks: Steve, for bringing your cameras and putting your life in danger to get some sick shots! Paul n Mark, for the cameras and RC CAR and for editing this awesome vid!! Our 2nd driver, Mo. Jasson, Doug, and Johnny, for cheering us on and drinking on my parents roof
My rents, for obvious reasons.
Hiking Around Topanga
Ahhh.. beautiful.
Last Wednesday my good friends, Steve, Jack, and I went for a hike near Steve’s house in Topanga Canyon. We left with nothing but our cameras (and phone camera, Jack) and hearts eager to explore. Steve wanted to show us a couple awesome spots he been before. I would hike around there every day if I could..
Fun With Primes
On Friday, I drove out to Topanga Canyon to hang out with my friends Steve, Matt, and his girlfriend, Kelly. Steve was taking some new head shots for Kelly. I used my friend Paul’s Canon 50mm f1.8 Prime on my 7D to shoot some “behind the scenes”. Paul picked up the lens for under $90 and I think it is a GREAT value. The photos came out really awesome (it helps that my friends are very photogenic).
I was at a 100 ISO, various shutter speeds, and mostly at f1.8. Keeping your subject in focus when using low stops can be tough but I’ll just show you some that came out pretty neat.
Here are some of the raw, unedited photos hot off my CF card!!:
Some branches in Steve’s backyard.

That’s Steve!

The lovely Kelly Devoto.

That’s all for now!
3.. 2.. 1.. Draw
This is a recent drawing. I’m still learning certain aspects of lighting so I had a little help from my friend. But I messed with gradients for the first time and I put the gradient on the wrong layer in Photoshop. I liked the result so the I kept the mistake.
I also got some help with the eyes but I thought that they looked especially awesome!

Thanks!
